For Christmas 2023, my brother gave me a sublimated coffee mug featuring the zip code of the neighborhood where we grew up. When I saw it and held it in my hands, my first thought was, “I want to make these!” I wasn’t really thinking about turning it into a business—I just wanted to learn the process and enjoy it as a hobby. But after reflecting on the costs I’ve incurred, I’ve decided to offer my creations for sale, at least for a limited time, to see if people might be interested. Today marks the day I’m going to see how that goes.
